Herniated Discs

A herniated disc can be one of the most painful experiences anyone encounters. It is usually defined as excruciating pain that starts in the lower back and radiates all the way down the leg. Often this type of injury can result from an old back injury on the job or it can be an old sports injury where one of the discs in the lower back is ruptured.

Chiropractic care can be an effective treatment for herniated discs. When patients receive these treatments, many of them have no side effects and notice a difference in the magnitude and frequency of pain. Some patients are able to decrease their recovery time, while others soon are well enough to go back to work.
