Dr. Barry Shulak is a native of Detroit, MI, where the soundtrack of his early life consisted of some of the greatest music ever produced by the Motown artists whose music had a wonderfully positive impact on a turbulent world. Throughout his life, he's sought a means of having a similarly positive impact on the lives of others. His purpose to help others led him to the chiropractic profession. He graduated magna cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College (Now University of Western States) in 2006.
Since then, Dr. Shulak has had a passion for refining his treatment methods and learning more about clinical neurology to understand better the neurological consequences of musculoskeletal injuries and mild traumatic brain injury and also how to promote better long term health outcomes. He also has a strong interest in assessing the nutritional needs of patients.
He is currently mid a 40-hour certification course in the evidence-based assessment and management of concussion patients.
In addition to clinical practice as a chiropractor, Dr. Shulak is also a trained religious counselor. In the little spare time he has available to him these days, he enjoys cooking healthy food, biking, walks and high intensity interval training, reading fiction and non-fiction, and of course, music-listening and playing (but mostly listening!).
